    Important limitations

Weather history shows recorded hail and wind activity near the property. It does not establish the cause or date of loss.

    • Third-party records can be incomplete, delayed, or unavailable for a specific location or event.
    • An event near a property does not prove that the property sustained damage.
    • The report does not determine coverage, liability, claim acceptance, or policy terms.
    • Property inspection and claim documentation remain separate from weather-history data.

    Hail and wind history questions

What is a 7-Year Hail & Wind History report?

It is a property-centered history of recorded hail and wind activity from the prior seven years, with event details and proximity information for events found near the property.

What information does the report show?

The report can show event dates and types, reported hail size, reported wind speed, distance from the property, source, confidence and severity information, an event timeline, and a 25-mile map.

The report uses third-party meteorological records from NOAA and the Iowa Environmental Mesonet. Data availability and completeness depend on those sources.
